Our Long-Term Care Ombudsmen Representatives are advocates for residents in long-term care facilities (Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities). Ombudsmen work to protect the health, safety, welfare and rights of Alabama’s long-term residents.  Ombudsmen investigate and resolve complaints, ensure that residents are receiving quality care, educate residents, their families, and facility staff about residents’ rights, provide information to the public and represent resident’s interest by working to change laws, regulations and policies that affect those who live in long-term facilities.
